Message 3: The Old Creation vs. The New Creation
The purpose of this message is to see the difference between the old creation and the new creation. The first creation was made by God, headed up by Adam, and was corrupted by sin. It is expressed today as fallen humanity (which includes corrupt society) and is characterized by the human soul. God’s new creation is created by God according to the image of Christ. It is continually being renewed and is defined by spirit. It is expressed in a new living among believers who are full of virtues and the living word of God, as well as honoring the Holy Spirit. The old creation and new creation are two realms, which are theologically profound, and at the same time, experientially simple.
1 Corinthians 15:45-47 - "Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven."
