God’s Eternal Purpose – “I will build My church”

Message 1: God’s Eternal Purpose – “I will build My church”

Jesus led His disciples away to a high mountain where He told them one of the most influential and consequential messages concerning His purpose—He said to them “I will build My church.” Even though the disciples didn’t know what that meant (how could they? There was no church in existence yet), this purpose compelled them to seek, be with, and find the Lord in richer and richer ways. Eventually, Paul would testify that God’s display of His riches through the church is according to His eternal purpose. The church is not an add on for God. The building of the church is the main goal of God. When we are with Him in a mountain, we can see this in clarity.
